#280 "Indulgence"

This is a small study that I did for a larger piece that I plan on painting. I just loved the combination of the extremely intense light greens and the deep rich reds. Cherries have always bee a favorite of mine to paint. . . in a way they have a very seductive and ever so slightly evil feel to them and when they are in season I try not to miss the opportunity to paint (and eat) them.

    I love this combination of colors. Red and green compliments can be so tricky to not have it look Christmas-y, but this is fantastic. I do hope that there is a bit of gin in there to go with that lime?
