#361 "Jacks"

A little tighter piece that I decide to do. I've had these jacks for a while and have wanted to put them into a piece but just never got around to it. This little guy is kinda a 'warm up' of sorts for a more complex piece that I've got planned. I wanted to play around with how the light hit the jacks and see what I wanted to keep and eliminate. This is what I came up with, and I'm pretty pleased with it.

#360 "Braeburn Peel #5

I've just about worn these apples out. A few more might be on the horizon but I'm starting to see them in my sleep.

#359 Braeburn Peel #4

Another open air Braeburn apple under the bright lights of a cloudless sky.

Spring Cleaning #2 "Something's Missing"

Another piece that I've held onto for a little while now and needs to find a good home. This guy was painted roughly around the time that I ventured back into oil painting after a long hiatus and reflects the style and subject matter of what I was painting at time. Lots of tacked and taped things on walls sprinkled with some stupid humor.

#358 Braeburn Peel #3

We've had few sunny days of late so I thought I'd take advantage of this one by giving this little apple some fresh air underneath a wide open sky.

Spring Cleaning #1 "A King, A President, An Artist"

I'm gonna post a few pieces that have been hanging around the studio for a bit that need to find good homes. This one is the a pastel that I did quite a while ago, and is very reminiscent of the style and feel of work that I was doing then. Almost everything I painted was taped, glued or tacked to a wall in unusual arrangements. As well, I worked exclusively in pastel, and is one of only three pastels that I have left from the bygone era.
